Workplace Stress? Try a Wonderful Guided Meditation for Stress

Here are Resources for Dealing with Stress: (Guided Audio MP3)

Allow yourself to take back some control, inner control from the chronic stress situation. If we remain in the state of ongoing stress, we can fall ill and certainly won’t be able to think creatively on how to cope or exit from the stressor. Whether that stressor is a bully boss, a chronic illness or job loss.

Tara Brach, is an author and respected meditation teacher, see her books and guided meditation products below.  She talks about how the mind is affected, our thinking-the more penetrating and deductive thinking ability is diminished by chronic stress.  Our attention becomes narrow and fixated-it darts around-trying to figure out how to protect ourselves-short term.  Thus we  literally can’t see our way out-we are running around in a rut, or like a mouse on a wheel.

Meditation will help to relieve the stress,

and allow us to relax body and mind; and shift attention away from the obsessive replay of stress thus opening our mind to see the possibilities.  Try the short meditation first then she explains and expands more in the following talk.

FREE: A 22 min. Guided meditation by Tara Brach. Following the meditation is a wonderful talk also free called “Stress and Meditation Part 1”, it’s 60 min. both can be streamed or for a slow connection, try downloading it to listen.
