How to do An Ayurvedic Cleanse & African Healer Talks on Rituals

As I scour the web and the various sources that are high quality health and spirituality providers I sometimes come upon wonderful things to share with you.  I recently was shown the importance of self-care and will be writing on what this health crisis taught me.   So right now I’m very focused on healing and steps we can take to maintain our vitality.   Here are some FREE offerings that could really impact your life, and are quite detailed (not just teaser info) so check them out!

1.  Ayurvedic Info:

Over at my fav Ayurvedic herbal supplier Banyan Botanicals: they have collaborated and created a wonderful pdf download guide on doing a detoxifying cleanse.  It’s called:  Ayurvedic Cleanse:Waste Be Gone!

It’s really good, and includes cleanse recipes, guidelines, explanations of the Ayurvedic doshas and more.  It’s by Premal Patel, MD & Drs.  Scott Blossom, and Dr. Robert Svoboda contributing.  It’s very well produced so check it out whether you are a vata, pitta or kapha dosha or like most a combination. The whole thing is also in collaboration with Yoga Journal (see next.) But to make it easy for you if you are a beginner to Ayurveda, check out this extensive but clear page of intro info, over at Banyan.

2.  Yoga Techniques & Ayurveda

Yoga Journal’s 7 Day Fall Detox. which has several videos, guiding you through yoga sequences for each day of your detox;  and various Ayurvedic/yogic self-help therapies like: doing nasal wash (great for colds and allergies) and abhyanga (oil self-massage.)  The latter is wonderful in the winter and I planned on doing a post on it myself.

3.  Rituals For Health and Happiness

Over at Sounds True, which features wonderful interviews by spiritual folks of every ilk, and runs the gamut. Link takes you to main page, then on bottom left see “podcast” and click there, it’s the talk for the week of Tuesday, September 20, 2011.*   Tami Simon the founder  has a new talk with Sobonfu Somé: Invoking Spirit and the Power of RitualSobonfu Somé is an West African teacher & writer on traditional healing and wellness.   (*If you make a product purchase I get a small commission that does not affect your product price.)
